Welcome!
I’m Charity.

I’m a physician on a mission to help introverted healthcare professionals flourish.

How I Help

I guide introverts in medicine off the spiral of career dissatisfaction and into lives they look forward to.

When the increasing demands and decreasing rewards of their medical career lead to apathy, irritability, and resentment, I help them break free by showing them how to:

  • honor and prioritize themselves

  • create sustainable energy

  • drop the guilt over wanting something better

Life is meant to be lived

Not merely survived.

Just because you’re a grown-up doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to have fun and pleasure. Your career is important, but it’s not the only thing. When work woes make up the majority of your day, it’s time to start claiming time for you again.

It’s full of ideas to help you put delight and relaxation back into your day.

I’m Charity Hix

I’m a physician burnout coach helping introverts in healthcare escape feelings of apathy, irritability, and resentment brought on by the increasing demands, and decreasing rewards, of medicine.

When you’re not showing up like the person you want and used to be, that’s burnout. I know. I‘ve been there. I also know, after 20 years of practicing in clinical medicine, there are ways to be a diligent, thoughtful clinician while prioritizing your needs and protecting your energy. You don’t have to feel guilty for wanting a thriving life in and out of medicine.
